Announcements
OTTAWA, June 2, 2026 –The Stem Cell Network (SCN) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 Summer Studentships. Now in its fourth year, the program will support 16 senior undergraduate students from across Canada as they undertake summer research placements at Canadian academic institutions under the mentorship of leading regenerative medicine researchers.
As part of SCN’s commitment to training the next generation of Canadian talent, SCN is investing $80,000 to supplement the cost of these studentships while providing awardees with valuable hands-on research experience. At the conclusion of the program in August, students will showcase their work at the Virtual SCN Summer Studentship Symposium. The top two ranked undergraduates will also receive support from SCN to attend the 2026 Till & McCulloch Meetings, taking place November 9–11 in Vancouver, where they will present posters showcasing their work.
