Cells I See is about the beauty of cells seen directly through the microscope or through the interpretive lens of the artist.
The Till & McCulloch Meetings is once again seeking the best cell images and artwork in Canada for the Cells I See art contest. Past entries have been featured in art galleries, science exhibits, magazine covers, calendars, post cards and websites.
We are now accepting submissions for the 2026 Cells I See art contest!
The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 4, 2026.
To submit your entry complete the 2026 entry form and submit your artwork using one of the methods listed on the entry form.
See the submission guidelines for size requirements and also consult the contest rules.
A confirmation email will be sent to the submitter upon receipt of submission. If a confirmation email is NOT received, the submitter should contact Rebecca Cadwalader at rcadwalader@stemcellnetwork.ca to confirm receipt of their submission.
A cash prize of $500 will be awarded for the submission receiving the highest number of “likes” in the Cells I See Facebook photo stream, subject to receipt of no fewer than 250 total votes (“likes”) across all entries to the online gallery. People’s Choice voting will be open from September 9 to October 7, 2026.
A cash prize of $750 will be awarded for the submission receiving the highest number of votes at the 2026 Till & McCulloch Meetings. Entries will be displayed in the Cells I See Art Gallery at TMM2026. The Grand Prize will be selected by tallying the votes of conference attendees.
The Grand Prize cannot be awarded to the winner of the People’s Choice award. If the winner of the People’s Choice award also receives the highest number of votes during the 2026 Till & McCulloch Meetings, the Grand Prize will be awarded to the entry which receives the second highest number of votes.
People’s Choice Award voting will take place from September 9 to October 7, 2026. We invite you to vote by visiting our Facebook page to view the entries and “like” your favourite entry to cast your vote.
Grand Prize voting will take place November 8 to 10, at TMM2026. Attendees at the 2026 Till & McCulloch Meetings will cast their votes in the conference mobile app for the Grand Prize winner.
