Stem Cell Network joins BioTalent Canada national partnership network
Ottawa, October 22, 2020— BioTalent Canada today announced the Stem Cell Network (SCN) has joined on as a Gold Plus Partner. SCN joins a group of more than 30 organizations that have joined BioTalent Canada under its Partnership Plus Program.
“BioTalent Canada’s extensive network of industry partners spans the entirety of the biotechnology sector and includes some of the most influential organizations in Canada,” says Rob Henderson, President and CEO of BioTalent Canada. “We’re very pleased to add SCN to this growing list. We look forward to building on this partnership and fostering Canada’s position as a global biotech leader.”
This partnership is mutually beneficial. SCN will promote BioTalent Canada’s programs to its stakeholders. BioTalent Canada will do the same for SCN. However, it’s BioTalent Canada’s “Essential Skills Fundamentals Courses” and “Technical Skills Fundamentals Courses” that really appealed to SCN. These courses were designed with extensive input from industry to address a skills gap in the Canadian bio-economy.
“Stem Cell Network’s vision to capitalize upon Canada’s competitive advantage in stem cells aligns well with BioTalent’s best in class professional development and skills training,” says Cate Murray, Executive Director of the Stem Cell Network. “We’re excited to promote these programs and believe they’ll be instrumental, providing our trainees with the tools they need to lead in their field.”
BioTalent Canada’s partnership network brings together bio-economy employers, national and regional associations, municipalities, post-secondary institutions, service providers and immigrant serving agencies. The PetriDish™—Canada’s only national bilingual biotech job board—connects employers to more than 17,400 skilled job seekers.
