Are you ready to explore the future of synthetic biology and biomedical engineering? The Meeting for Advanced Synthetic Biology and Systems Bioengineering (MASSIV) 1.0 is coming to Vancouver, B.C., bringing together leading researchers, innovators, and trainees from around the world. The Stem Cell Network (SCN) is pleased to be partnering with Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and to deliver this event, hosted by the School of Biomedical Engineering at UBC.

Driven by recent breakthroughs in genome, cell, tissue, and organ engineering, MASSIV 1.0 will showcase how the boundaries of biology and medicine are being pushed at an unprecedented scale. This exciting event will  feature cutting-edge technologies and applications at the intersection of biology, engineering, and data science. Special emphasis will be placed on how foundational synthetic biology and bioengineering principles, originally developed using microorganisms alongside computational and AI approaches, are transforming stem cell biology and tissue engineering to advance human health.

SCN is offering a limited number of trainee travel awards, valued at up to $2,500 each, to support attendance at MASSIV 1.0. To be eligible for travel support, trainees must present a poster and participate in at least one training event during the conference.
