Declan Hamill, Executive Vice-President, Dairy Farmers of Canada
In January 2025, Declan Hamill joined Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC), the national policy, advocacy and promotional organization representing Canadian dairy producers. DFC strives to create stable conditions for the dairy sector in Canada. It also seeks to maintain policies that promote the sustainability of Canadian dairy production and promote dairy products and their health benefits.
In the capacity of Executive Vice President, Mr. Hamill leads a Division overseeing Government Relations, Legal, Trade, Corporate Governance, Finance, and Strategic Initiatives.
Prior to joining DFC, Mr. Hamill held senior leadership positions with a Canadian national pharmaceutical trade association. Mr. Hamill is also the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Stem Cell Network, a national not-for-profit organization that supports stem cell and regenerative medicine research, training, knowledge mobilization and commercialization readiness.
Mr. Hamill is a graduate of National Program of the McGill University Faculty of Law, and also holds degrees from York University and from Trinity College, University of Toronto. Mr. Hamill was called to the Ontario Bar in 1998, and is also a 2022 graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors-Rotman Directors Education Program.
